We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received early in my accounting career was “always be training your replacement”. You can never grow in your career and learn new things if there is no one behind you. This can be hard at times because the comfortable thing to do is keep doing what you know and what you are good at. It takes confidence in your own abilities to let others coming behind you shine and reach their own potential. During my time at Priority, I have had the opportunity to learn so many new things and take my career to places I only had only dreamed of. We challenge our team members to do the same. We want our team members to grow and continue the learning process. Sometimes that means cross-training on other jobs or taking the leap and applying for a new position within the Company. Other times that is pushing our employees to go after that professional certification or pursue the degree they always wanted. Learning never ends!”

Respect, trust, and heard. Sounds easy but not everyone gets that experience. I do. I’ve been trusted to lead my sales team with my management style which is trusting each team member to know their job and help guide them through their own creativity and dedication to the company, team, and themselves. Respect for each other and the contributions we all bring to the bottom line of the team and success of the company. Heard. We all want to be heard whether it’s an idea, a challenging day, or a change in our work or home. The opportunity to incorporate all of these into my day to day work life balance and be able to extend the same to those around me is immensely gratifying and makes me smile. Because who doesn’t like to smile when they start and end their work day. I do and get to do that.”

I have worked for Priority Wire and Cable for 13 years. I have loved working for this great company and wonderful owners. They treat their employees well and with respect and I could not imagine working anywhere else. I work in the Operations Department and the National Operation Manger is my manager. He is an honest, fair, understanding, caring and very intelligent individual. We are all very lucky to have him as our manager and go to guy. I also work with some amazing people that are always willing to help and answer any question. We are definitely a team environment company. The people here are not just my co-workers they are like family.”
