Price Increase Notice
Cut and Parallel Charge Increases due to Lumber Costs
It is hard to have missed the ongoing news of increases in the costs of lumber. This has obviously increased our reel costs and will likely continue to do so as we believe our cost increases have lagged the lumber price increases. We have up to now absorbed the additional costs but effective May 17th, 2021 we need to increase our Cut and Parallel charges in an effort to recoup some of the increase. And these are subject to further adjustments up or down as we go forward.
How can you avoid or limit the Cut and Parallel charges?
1. Purchase random stock lengths.2. Consider for short cuts or parallels, layer winding onto the reel(s).
3. Buy bulk reels or standard length reels.
Our new Cut Charges are:
6 awg – 4/0 awg -- $25 per cut
250 mcm – 500 mcm -- $50 per cut
600 mcm – 1000 mcm-- $60 per cut
Our new Parallel Charges are:
6 awg – 4/0 awg -- $40 per leg
250 mcm – 500 mcm -- $60 per leg
600 mcm– 1000 mcm -- $70 per leg
The above are for Aluminum Building wire. Our standard cut or parallel charges for other products have not changed at this time.

Due to increases in Aluminum, effective July 1, 2020 we will be raising prices between 3 and 5% on our Aluminum Building Wire as well as 600V Utility Cables. Our warehouses remain well stocked on the full breadth of Aluminum as well as Industrial Wire and Cable, Ground Rods and Flexible Conduit.

A second warehouse in Houston
Priority Wire & Cable is pleased to announce the opening of our new Houston Campus including our 25,000 sq. ft. Call Center and Inside Sales office, as well as an additional 175,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space located at 10203 Wallisville Rd. The facility is just a mile down the road from our existing warehouse which we will retain. Due to our growth and to maintain our high service levels we needed the additional inventory space and cutting stations for both Industrial and Aluminum Building Wire. June 24, 2019 we will be increasing prices between 5 and 8% on our Aluminum Building Wire as well as 600V Utility Cables. While metals pricing has remained relatively stable, market pricing has decreased while other costs have continued to rise including but not limited to to the full effects of various tariffs that have been put in place over the past several months necessitating a price increase.Our goal is to continue provide our Customers with the industries best service levels so if you have any questions on this notice please do not hesitate to contact us.

Price Increase effective January 1, 2018
Due to the rise in commodity prices (copper, aluminum, steel and resins) as well as other cost factors we are initiating across the board price increases within the U.S. and Canada from 6 to 10% on our product lines effective immediately.
All indications point to sustained or continued increases in commodities as well as other costs leading us to believe that prices will go up and stay up.
